Statement of Purpose:
The E-journal of the American Hungarian Educators Association is a peer-reviewed annual publishing articles on Hungarian studies. All aspects if Hungarian culture (history, literature, art, music, folklore, scientific contributions of Hungarians, etc.) are of interest, including studies on Hungarian-American and Hungarian-Canadian topics. Also of interest are papers on Hungarians in the neighboring states of Slovakia, Romania, Austria, Ukraine, and Serbia. Articles of a comparative, multicultural or mulitidisciplinary nature are encouraged.
Style:
All submissions should conform to scholarly standards. Papers presented at AHEA conferences should have been revised to conform to the standards of printed scholarly works and include appropriate documentation.
Modern Language Association style is preferred
Papers have to be submitted electronically in MS Word; pictures and graphs should be in .PNG, .JPG, or .GIF.
Length of articles:
Minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 pages, double spaced; footnotes and bibliography are extra
Submissions Criteria:
Papers presented at the AHEA conferences will be accepted, with papers from the 2007 Conference given priority for 2008;
All persons submitting papers should be members of the AHEA
The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject papers or to ask for substantial revisions to meet the standards outlined above
Articles submitted have to be in English or Hungarian
Papers should include an abstract, in English, of no more than 100 words.
