Hello, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Brian Morgan. My late Mother's father was Louis/Ludwig/Lajos Makk in the United States but I think the family in Sarvar, County of Vas was either Makk or Makkos.
My Grandfather was born on March 21st, 1875. My Grandfathers Father was Louis/Ludwig/Lajos Makk or Makkos Senior and he was born on August 18th, 1848 either in Sarvar or a neighboring town or village. My Grandfathers Mother was Mary Ester Makk or Makkos maiden name unknown, she was born on March 15th, 1852 either in Sarvar or neighboring town or village.
I am writing this because my late Mother wanted to find more about her Hungarian heritage. My late Mom already had extensive knowledge of her Mother, my Grandmother whom was a Swiss National of Hessian Kassel heritage, but my Grandmother's Grandparents had to leave Hesse Kassel due to the 1866 Austro-Prussian war, as refugee's to escape Prussian persecution. I have taken up the banner for my Mother to find out more about my Hungarian heritage. I can be reached by e-mail if anyone has any knowledge of the Makk or Makkos Family of Sarvar, I am interested in information from my Grandfather to as far back as many generations possible as well as if I might have family currently in Hungary. I am particularly interested in knowing what my Great Grandmothers maiden name was. I would like to Thank one and all at Hungaria.org for the chance to learn more about my Hungarian culture and heritage.
Thank you.
Brian A. Morgan
P.S. My surname was from my Fathers side he was of Welsh/English heritage.
