WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE:
The EU should:
Limit the size of all mining sludge ponds,
Require them to be sealed at the bottom and lovated below ground level (no above ground ponds at all!)
Require them to be circular in shape
Require that they be surrounded by concrete dams (not dirt)
Require that the pH of the sludge must never exceed 10 pH
Require that as soon as the sludge dried it be covered by earth

HUNGARY SHOULD:
Hungary’s PM should follow President Obama’s example in connection with the BP spill and request MAL Rt. to immediately establish a $100 million restoration and compensation fund for distribution among the victims of this disaster.
HUNGARY should place in pre-trial house arrest for criminal negligence the managing director of the plant.
HUNGARY should review and make public the process by which the present owners gained possession of the plant.
The Hungarian Parliament should pass laws that make it a crime if an individual, secretly and without paying taxes keeps personal fortune in foreign banks.
FOREIGNERS SHOULD:

In addition to individual donations, the governments of EU, USA and other nations should also help.
