Hungarian Folkdance and Folk Music Symposium
ABOUT THE HUNGARIAN FOLKDANCE and FOLK MUSIC SYMPOSIUM

Since 1978 the SYMPOSIUM is a biennial gathering of Hungarian folkdance and folk music lovers in North America. Workshops are held each morning and afternoon, and every day ends with a TÁNCHÁZ [improvised folk dance party]. Although teaching is aimed at the intermediate / advanced level, the dialect instructions will always start with basics, which allows beginners to learn the material well. Special workshops, lectures and activities are scheduled for every interest especially for the beginners and young teenagers. Material from previous Symposiums will also be reviewed. The best part of the week long fun is that the place becomes an instant community, a "Who's Who in Hungarian Folkdance in America". Do not miss out, sign up early, since registration may be limited.
