[Batthyany] Prime Minister: Count Louis Batthyány.born 1806; died 1849. Member of upper house: helped elect Kossuth. Captured by the Austrians. Condemned to hanging, but later as"an act of mercy" sentence changed to firing squad
Minister near His Majesty: Prince Pál Esterházy Born 1786 died 1866. Diplomat, conservative politician; Member Hung. Acadamy of Sciences . Assistant to Metternich. 1810: ambassador to Saxony, later architect of Belgian independence. From 1842 active in Hungarian politics. Resigned post as minister to the King when differences with the Habsburghs became insurmountable
[Lázár Mészáros] Minister of War: Lázár Mészáros Born 1796 died 1868. A professional soldier at the time of his appointment serving under Radetzky in Italy as a colonel. Later promoted to general. Served as minister of War in Kossuth's 1949 cabinet
[Debreceb] Minister of finance: Lajos Kossuth. Born Monok (NE Hungary) 1802, died Torino 1894. Lawyer, politician, newsman; eventually recognized leader of the revolution. and acclaimed "governoe" of Hungary. Became target of Austrian absolutism. After defeat left for and died in exile.

Deák] Minister of Justice : Ferenc Deák Born in 1803, died in 1876. Lawyer, notary, author, constitutional scholar. Reputed mediator; architect of 1867 compromise establishing the dual Austro- Hungarian monarchy.
[József Eötvös] Minister of culture and education: Baron József Eötvös. Born 1813, died 1871. Writer, reformist, "Western" liberal he advocated abolishing serfdom, champion of jewish emancipation, promoted compromise with Austria. Member of the Andrássy cabinet in the post-compromise era.
[ Bertalan 
Szemere] Minister of the Interior : Bertalan Szemere Born in 1812, died in 1869.Minister of the Interior : Politician, writer; later became prime minister. Elected to the hungarian Academy of Sciences.
[Gábor Klauzál ] Minister of Agriculture, Industry and Trade : Gábor Klauzál Born 1804, died in 1866, Lawyer, held civil service assignments at local, County and national levels. March 15 1848 member of the national public safety committee and on April 7 cabinet minister. Resigned September 10, retired.
[István Széchenyi 
] Minister of Public Works : Count István Széchenyi Born in 1791, died in 1860. Father, Ferenc noted cultural, leader. Strong promoter of infrastructure developments, statesman. Kossuth, while critical of his policies, nevertheless called him "The Greatest Hungarian"
